Hirata expands robot portfolio: Now also with 6 axes

With the new Hirata AR-V series, Hirata is expanding its portfolio of industrial robots. This makes Hirata one of the few companies that can equip the automation of production plants with its own robots with different kinematics in the field of special machine construction. So in the future, 6-axis robots will be available in addition to SCARA robots and linear axis systems.

The AR-V series includes three models with arm lengths of 700 mm, 950 mm and 1200 mm. These are designed for payloads of 4 to 6 kg. The basic structure of the robots ensures high rigidity, this ensures low vibrations even at high speeds and thus fast and accurate positioning as well as a reduction in cycle times. Installation is supported by offline teaching with assistance functions and simulation tools, e.g. for collision avoidance.

The new 6-axis robots work with the same operating software as all other Hirata robots. Several robot systems can be controlled via only one controller. The use of battery-free motors minimises the maintenance effort. The large reduction gear used ensures long-term stable operation. The AR-V series from Hirata is particularly suitable for applications in the automotive, electrical and metalworking sectors. Equipped with the Hirata 3D picking system, the new 6-axis robots are also capable of handling components that are fed in a disorderly manner.
