New development: CAST model palletiser

MAINZ - Hirata has developed a new palletising system to complement its portfolio of standard palletisers. Due to its small dimensions (LxWxH: 1,150 x 1,000 x 2,000 mm), the new CAST palletiser only requires a footprint of approx. 1 m2 and is therefore particularly well suited for use where space is limited. Wherever components are processed in blisters, trays or KTLs, such as in plastics processing, electronics manufacturing, medical technology, the automotive sector or semiconductor production, the CAST palletiser ensures the orderly infeed or outfeed of the workpieces in the production process.

In addition to the small footprint, the CAST palletiser also offers the advantage that it is equipped with extendable rollers on the underside and can therefore be used as a mobile unit. This means that the palletiser can be used in different production lines. The trays to be processed are placed as a stack in the palletiser via the transport trolleys belonging to the palletiser. The stack height of the trays on the transport trolley can be determined individually for the customer by means of a flexibly adjustable working height (lower edge of tray). In the palletiser, the tray stack is now automatically lifted, the top tray is indexed and transported to the production line. Due to the movable indexing, the tray transfer into the line can be freely defined.

The processed tray is then transported out of the system back to the palletiser and stacked. Once all the trays have been processed, the tray stack is placed back on the transport trolley, which can now be changed. An electric axle is used to stack the trays. This means that different tray heights can be handled without any problems. The palletiser is loaded and unloaded with stacked trays via one and the same transport trolley, so that only one interface has to be operated by the production workers.
